Malaysia Business Reporting System by SSM to Be Implemented Nationwide
Malaysia Business Reporting System (MBRS) is a submission platform for the Securities Commission of Malaysia (SSM). This system’s platform is based on the XBRL (eXtensible Business Reporting Language) format.
With the XBRL format, companies and businesses will be able to submit the following documents:
- The Financial Statements and Report (FS) forms
- The Annual Return (AR) forms
- Exemption Applications (EA) forms which are related to Annual Return and Financial Statements and Report
On 27 September 2018, SSM announced the launch of the MBRS system for the submission of annual returns, financial statements and exempt private certificates voluntarily.
In November 2018 until March 2019, the mandatory submission using the MBRS system will then be implemented nationwide in stages during this period. SSM will determine when the financial statements should be mandatorily submitted based on the readiness of the user.
